It's weird to come across a blog on the day it decides to retire. I've spent the last half an hour or so there, and I'm following, especially, the adventures of Pulcinella, but the rest of it is pretty amazing too.
I'm reluctant to reproduce the illustrations here, since misteraitch, who wrote the blog, doesn't seem to have permission either.

Well thanks for this. The Serafini is simply amazing-- and of course the memory of Svankmayer in its past-- but what I can't even begin to answer is why it is amazing. I wish you would say a little bit more about this, I wish you would explicate...
Equivocal: Isn't it a discovery? I wish I could see the book for myself...it's worth thinking about what is happening with how we interpret space in each of these drawings.
I'd heard of Serafini only once before, as one of the inspirations for Christian Bok's "Crystallography". Reason enough to acquire, but now there is also the evidence of my eyes.
Space: don't you mean how we interpret Space in each of these drawings?
